Dr. Healy completed his plastic surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, which has been consistently ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top two medical centers in the country. In addition to the latest technological advances in plastic surgery learned at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Healy follows the philosophy of Dr. William J. Mayo, who stated "the best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered".

Dr. Healy is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. This is the only board in plastic surgery recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. In order to be certified by the ABPS, a surgeon must complete extensive surgical training, have the highest ethical standards and pass rigorous written and oral examinations. Dr. Healy also belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Healy completed a full five year residency in general surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. He is also
board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Healy is actively involved in the community. He has been a soccer coach with AYSO and is the chartered organization representative for Boy Scout Troop 267. He also serves as the team doctor for Kapolei High School athletics. Dr. Healy is a volunteer surgeon with Operation Smile and Global Health Outreach and has participated in medical missions to China, Vietnam, India and the Philippines.
